About Me

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."

—Colossians 3:23

Hi, I’m Makenzy — the face behind Meyer Media.

How I Started:

My journey into photography started back in high school, standing along the fence at my brother’s baseball games with a camera in hand. What began as simply wanting to capture moments for him quickly turned into something so much bigger. I fell in love with freezing those high-energy, emotional moments — and honestly, I haven’t put the camera down since.

As a former college athlete, sports photography has always felt like home to me. I understand the pace, the pressure, the adrenaline — and those split-second moments that mean everything. Being able to capture that from the inside out is something I truly value, and it’s still a part of what I offer today.

But over time, my passion has continued to grow beyond the field.

Where I'm Headed:

I’ve found so much joy in capturing seniors, graduates, and couples — moments that are a little slower, a little more personal, and full of meaning in a different way. There’s something so special about getting to document who someone is in a specific season of life. As I step into freelancing more fully, I’m intentionally shifting my focus toward portrait work, while still continuing to serve my sports clients along the way.

This summer is a big one for me — I’m getting married and relocating from Northern Indiana to West Michigan, which means new opportunities, new faces, and a whole new chapter for both life and business. Through it all, I feel incredibly grateful for how God has guided this journey and allowed me to use my gifts in a way that serves others.

My Experience and Education:

I hold a degree in Digital Communications and Marketing, along with minors in Photography and Graphic Design, which allows me to not only capture moments but also thoughtfully create and deliver images that feel polished, intentional, and true to you.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to create an experience where you feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated — and to give you photos that let you relive those moments for years to come.

I’m so glad you’re here and I cannot wait to meet you!
